I was never really a fan of any Advent laptop what so ever, until now. The Advent 5302 completely changed my mind about their ability to make great laptops. Starting with the looks, it is completely covered in black, which looks very impressive considering old Advent laptops have been known to look rather dull. As regards to its size, it is very slim looking from behind the screen and under the keyboard. The weight is impressive too weighing in at a very light 2.9kg. This weight makes the laptop very good for mobile use as its easy to carry around and take anywhere you like.
The screen size is a very cool 15.4 inches which makes movies look very impressive to watch. The standard version of this laptop comes with an Intel Duo Core 2 processor and a huge 250gb of hard drive. This means that you will be able to store your music, pictures, work and movies with ease, with no computer slowdown.
Also in that package is the Windows Vista Home Premium. The sound is just incredible on this machine, it has the RealTec sound spec, and it completely beats any laptop sound out there at the moment, you will not find sound better than this anywhere on the market. It’s a very clean and crisp sound that simply delights. The keyboard is a big plus on this laptop, it’s very easy to use and is very comfortable. Most people seem to complain that some keyboards are situated too close to the screen, but the advent seems to have that sorted as it is situated smack in the middle.
The Advent 5302 has a very fast 2gb of RAM which makes playing most latest games a real pleasure as you will not suffer any slowdown of your computer. This huge memory also means that you will be able to listen to music, finish your work and browse the internet all at the same time with no hugely noticeable performance issues of your laptop. Having the very latest version of Microsoft works means that the Advent 5302 will be perfect for creating documents for school or work and then printing them off afterwards. 4 USB ports are available to use which makes printing, scanning and adding your favorite music to your IPod all possible at the same time. A DVD-SuperMulti Dual Layer Drive is also situated at the side of the laptop, meaning that you can watch your favourite DVD’s on the beautiful 15.4inch screen. Burning discs is also possible at a very fast rate, meaning that you can create your CD’s for your car or for whatever needs. All this can be bought for a small price of around £379 in most stores. For the price this is one of the best performing laptops around. Not many notebooks on the market can boast the same spec as this one and yet be so cheap. If you are sceptical about the Advent name, then don’t be. I can pretty much guarantee that you will be as surprised as me as to how much you will get for a small price.
ssor, just enough of a graphics card to get by, and a brilliant hi-res display, its a solid machine to pick up.
